Comparison
DiscoLike vs AI Ark
AI Ark makes the same argument DiscoLike does: B2B data shouldn't be scraped LinkedIn profiles. The comparison comes down to provenance, proof, and how each index is actually built.
TL;DR
AI Ark is a 2026-launched data platform with aggressive pricing (a real free tier, paid from $49/mo), lookalike search for companies and people, and a strong email-deliverability story. It sources data from third-party B2B vendors plus its own web indexing.
DiscoLike's index is not an aggregate: we crawl 80M+ business websites ourselves (1B pages) and train custom LLMs on that text. The crawl is the product, which is what makes natural language ICP search and exact phrase matching on homepage content possible.
The practical difference is verifiability. DiscoLike's coverage claims are documented, and its customers are on the record. AI Ark's figures are vendor-supplied with essentially no independent review footprint yet. Run a paid pilot before committing budget.

DiscoLike and AI Ark, side by side
| AI Ark | ||
|---|---|---|
| Data provenance | Primary source: our own crawl of 80M+ business websites is the index | Aggregated from third-party B2B data vendors plus their own indexing of corporate websites |
| Company discovery | Natural language ICP sentences, lookalike, and exact phrase on homepage text, combinable | Lookalike from seeds and filter-based search, but semantic search applies to people profiles, not company sites |
| Track record | GTM teams on the record: ColdIQ, Workflows.io, Blueprint, Leadbird and more | Launched 2026, so claims are vendor-supplied with little independent review coverage yet |
| Contact layer | SMTP-validated emails, phone, LinkedIn, seniority filters on every plan | Real-time SMTP and catch-all validation at export, a genuine strength |
| Contact pricing | Billed per verified contact record: email and phone included when found, no separate phone premium | 0.5 credits per verified email, 5 per mobile, and you pay once per contact |
| Pricing | $99–$1,599/mo, published, self-serve, 90-day free record cache | Free tier plus paid from $49/mo, the cheaper entry point |
| For AI agents | MCP server and REST API over our own index | MCP server as well: protocol parity, but the index behind it differs |

The same argument, made two ways
AI Ark's founding story will sound familiar to anyone who's read ours: GTM operators tired of paying for stale, LinkedIn-derived data. They explicitly don't scrape gated platforms, and they position 30-day refresh cycles against competitors' stale records. On the diagnosis, we agree completely.
The treatment differs. AI Ark assembles its ~70M-company database from "established, legally compliant B2B data vendors" plus its own indexing of corporate websites, an aggregate with a crawl on top. DiscoLike inverts that: the crawl is the database. Every company record in our index exists because we crawled its website, read its text, and validated its domain by SSL certificate. Nothing is inherited from a vendor's vendor.
Both reject LinkedIn scraping. Only one index is built entirely from primary-source crawling.
What you can actually ask the index
AI Ark offers lookalike search for companies and people, filter-based company search, and semantic search, the latter applying to unstructured people-profile text like work history and skills, which is genuinely useful for recruiting.
DiscoLike's query surface is aimed at company discovery: describe an ICP in a natural language sentence, seed a lookalike with best-customer domains, and require exact phrases to appear on the homepage, in one combined query, against the full text of 80M+ websites. If your job is finding companies by what they do, the depth is on the company side. If it's finding candidates by work history, AI Ark's people-semantic search is the better fit.
Claims you can check
AI Ark quotes 400M+ profiles, 98% accuracy, and sub-1.5% bounce rates. They may all be true, but the company launched in 2026, and there is essentially no independent review base on G2 or Capterra to check against. Even favorable write-ups recommend a paid pilot before committing budget, which is sensible advice for any young data vendor.
DiscoLike's claims are deliberately checkable: 80M+ indexed websites, 98% of companies worldwide covered, ~3x the coverage of LinkedIn-dependent databases, measured against a LinkedIn-derived database's own ingested data, not its marketing. And our customers are on the record: ColdIQ documented finding 49,203 companies and 15,000+ contacts their existing stack missed. See the case study.
Buy data from whoever you like, but weigh claims by whether anyone outside the vendor has verified them.
Where AI Ark genuinely wins
Entry price. A functional free tier and a $49/mo paid plan undercut everyone in the category, including us. Their pay-once-per-contact credit model with rollover is customer-friendly, and their real-time catch-all email validation is a substantive capability, particularly for agencies pushing high volumes. If your constraint is budget and your workflow is contact-export-heavy, AI Ark is worth a pilot. Measure the results against ours.
Agent flows: from no account to first search
On DiscoLike the whole flow runs without a person opening a browser until payment. The agent posts the person's work email and name to POST /v1/public/signup, relays the next_step text, and the person confirms by email, picks a plan, and authorizes the MCP client or issues a key. From there the agent authenticates with OAuth 2.1, so no secret sits in a config file, calls count before any large search so it knows the spend, and reads pricing.md, mcp.md, api.md, and llms.txt for the rules. The CLI emits JSON, the Python SDK validates parameters locally, and a published skill teaches Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor when to reach for all of it.
AI Ark's MCP server at api.ai-ark.com/v1/mcp is official, with a community-built alternative on GitHub, and authenticates with the API key as a token in the URL. Its tools are data queries plus documentation search. The docs describe no agent-driven account creation and no cost preview; the person signs up in the web app, generates a key, and pastes it into the client config.
AI Ark's agent flow is key-in-URL and human-created account. DiscoLike's is OAuth and agent-created account.

FAQ
Common questions
Aren't DiscoLike and AI Ark making the same claim?
The diagnosis is shared: LinkedIn-derived B2B data is stale and incomplete. The difference is construction: AI Ark aggregates third-party vendor data plus its own web indexing, while DiscoLike's index is built entirely from our own crawl of 80M+ business websites, with custom LLMs trained on that text.
AI Ark is cheaper. Why pay more for DiscoLike?
AI Ark's $49 entry and free tier are genuinely cheaper. DiscoLike's premium buys a primary-source index with verified coverage claims, natural language and exact-phrase search over website text, and documented customer results. For company discovery in hard markets, the index depth is what you're paying for.
Can AI agents use both tools?
Yes. Both ship MCP servers. The protocol is identical, but the substrate isn't. An agent on DiscoLike's MCP searches our full crawled index with natural language and exact-phrase queries. Choose by the data your agent needs, not the connector.
Should I pilot both?
Reasonable. Run the same ICP through both. DiscoLike is self-serve at $99/mo with records cached free for 90 days, so an A/B against your actual market is cheap. Compare how many true-fit companies each finds that the other misses.
Does AI Ark have an MCP server, and how does DiscoLike's compare?
Yes. AI Ark documents an official remote MCP server at api.ai-ark.com/v1/mcp with the API key passed as a token in the URL, plus a community-built server on GitHub. Its tools are data queries and documentation search. DiscoLike's MCP server uses OAuth 2.1 instead of a key in the URL and adds lookalike search, exact homepage phrase matching, segmentation, ICP validation, and native CRM push on top of company and contact lookup.
